Honda. These are the seats we have done for years. Develop ideas and deal with shapes and design. These seats as a rule are a lot more comfortable simply because of their width and depth of foam on a smooth base. Usually we do it just plain in a heavy duty vinyl. We could of added pleats straight across or within another panel.
Sport. This is an even simpler seat. Nice lines and shape. We managed to use a heavier leatherette than original for better durability as well as do in one piece.
FLSTS. Might as well start with my own bike. Suede and leather with chrome accents. Reformed base in front with wedge shape to support the tail bone.
FLSTS This is another version of the pillion shown above- redone for comfort. OEM Concho added for style.

Martin, we wanted to thank you for the great job you did rebuilding the seat on our FLSTS recently. It's GREAT and my wife really enjoys it. What a difference. C.G. Aurora Illinois

KAWI Seat raised for a tall rider. This type of change will effect handling of bike. and in this case it was for the better.
Dyna. Widen the pillion portion to 13" for passenger comfort. Reshape the base. Saved the front portion of vinyl because of the logo and matched it to add on rear.
Corbin saddle for a Chopper. Seat shape was out of whack. The back leaned back too far. The rear tapered off too sharp. The middle hump was too high. Salvaged the metal base and rebuilt foam. Covered in suede with leather sides and buttons. Decorative cross stitch.
Any bike. Rain cover to use before or after it rains and also to hide the helmet under to keep it and the seat cool from the sun.
Cavalcade. Replaced the dark brown vinyl with new and replaced the center portion with suede. Used existing foam but added new inlay design.
Chopper. Much like the chopper seat above only the customer wanted as very plain cover in a heavy duty vinyl. We trimmed some of the shape out of the pillion and leveled it to his wishes. This was actually a very difficult seat to upholster, smaller is harder. Yes we could have done a run of the mill job. But that is never good enough and given the time and money we prefer to do the best we can. I always look at the seat as if somebody was to tear down our work and scrutinize it. In other words even the bottom looks good. Somehow this reflects in the parts you do see.
FLT. Western styling with a butter soft rawhide leather. Custom stitching. Cream colored bike.
Touring Bags. To match above.
I made this bag in an act of desperation before leaving on tour. I took one look at my T-Bag and decided I couldn't put up with it anymore, drooping and strung onto the bike.
This bag has a covered piece of wood in the bottom with 4 holes. Two H-D ratchet straps wrap around the spacers bolts of the 3 channel luggage rack. The front of the bag is on the same angle as the rear backrest and the back of the bag is straight. It is the same height as the passenger shoulders. It comes in just under 2.5 cubic feet at 20 high by 14 deep and 18 wide. The large buckle down wrap around flap simply protects the inside zipper closures from water. It sits as solid as rock empty or full. The H-D conchos and patch add to the cost and just factoring in straight time and material would have to sell for no less than $750.
Chopper solo. Aluminum seat frame with a 1\2 inch gel padding. Actually very comfortable. Not my style but customer wanted a very shiny leatherette with decorative sides.
Kawi. Essentially we raised the lower section up to the same height as the rear of the saddle. The old saddle and foam is in the background and you will notice the same styling cues. The rider has a high inseam of 33" and this allowed him to sit more forward on the bike and greatly improved handling.

Hi Martin, I rode my bike with the reconditioned seat for about 3 hours
without any discomfort. Before, I would begin to feel some discomfort after
about an hour. This is great! L.M.

V-Star. Used original pan to make a smaller looking saddle. Suede and Leather with chrome studs.
Yamaha Virago. Widen rider and pillion by 3". Level pillion to over come the plastic pan rise at rear. Suede and Leather.
Yamaha Road Star Silverado. The challenge here was to lower the saddle as well as improve comfort. Not an easy task as we had to remove padding. We did succeed and left a thin 1\2 inch pad at rear and about 1 inch on bottom. Suede insert with decorative stitch graphics. Original styling with side panel and chrome spots and reused. Note: this is the first picture with my new Kodak DC3400.
Road Glide. Rebuild for comfort and leather and Suede cover.

Suzuki Intruder. The rider section was altered to give it a solo look and the pillion was lowered and made smaller. The dream catcher was embroidered in the pillion. Brown

'80 Gold wing Restyle rear and recover in leather.
V-Star 650 Pillion. Remodeled the pillion. Working on the original pan I changed the rectangular flat narrow pillion into a comfortable seat for the passenger and a backrest for rider. Theme: Mustang knock-off
'81 Gold Wing. Widened for tall rider and lengthened for more two-up comfort. Theme: Comfort. White vs. black can be an amazing difference temperature change. I personally ride with a chrome helmet as a variation of white to keep a cool head.
Buell. Lumps and bumps. Foam too soft were it wasn't needed and not enough foam were it was. Hurts just to think about it. This seat needed help. We also raised height to gain a 90 degree angle on the knee of rider.

Indian Chief. Widen Pillion for comfort. Also added Valance and leather fringe. Material matched perfect to front section.
V-Star Slimmed down the rider portion and the pillion. Recover in leather with studs and fringe. Personalized embroidery.

was so much more comfortable. Thanks T.A.

Indian Chief Suede and Cinnamon wax pull up leather.
Indian head embroidery.
Custom Frame. Leather with double pleats, piping and studs.
BMW 650 Leveled pan and raised front portion.
Recovered in sport stretch.
2000 MOTO GUZZI Larger flat pan that was raised up at the rear so rider can slip back in the saddle.
2003 Honda Spirit We tapered rear area. Softened riders area by removing a small layer of the harder foam and replacing it with soft foam. New Bison leather cover. Dream Catcher embroidery accent.
2001Honda Ace Customized for a taller a rider. We raised seating area allowing rider to sit back further.
2005 Heritage Softtail seat padded to move rider forward and padding was removed (narrowed) at front. Pillion slimmed down to show more paint. Replaced insert with Italian Bison.
2005 Burgman 650 Executive with rider section lowered to 1/2 inch above pan with Gel. This included removing a section of reinforcing steel. There is only 1.5 inches of hard padding to start with. I could have made it more comfortable by replacing the hard foam with soft but the rider need a lower seating position. We used Gel for the most comfort and the lowest seat height. Note the new stitch line in front of the back rest, this indicates how much lower the seat is.
2005 BMW R1200 GS Leveled seat pan so that the rider wouldn't slip forward. Padded to suit his body weight.

Given the constraints re; my bike for passenger comfort, my passenger
is more comfortable - I think the slope adjustment and backrest are a great improvement.
Your efforts and customer service greatly appreciated. C.T.

Handicap commode seat. Customer has little feeling on the right side and his left side is supporting most his weight due to side gap. We designed the seat so the right side was firm to support as much weight as possible and the left made softer with Crosgel.
